Qualification
(a) M.Sc. in Physics/Geophysics with CGPA > 6.5 and >65% marks; OR (b) M.Tech in Civil Engineering/Earthquake Engineering/Hydrology/Hydraulics/Water Resource Engineering/Irrigation Engineering/Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent with CGPA > 6.5 and >65%; (c) job experience of more than three years in IITs/NITs/Centrally funded technical institutes; (d) must be GATE/JRF/NET or equivalent qualified. Desirable: field experience in lab development/field observations/dam sites.
Broad fields of work: Seismic analysis and hazard mapping/seismic analysis of gravity and embankment dams; seismology; reservoir sedimentation and silt management; river engineering, reservoir operation, dam designs, design of hydraulic structures, dam-break modelling, flood estimation and forecasting, emergency action plan preparation; lab development, dam instrumentation, field measurement, training programmes and research. The selected candidates may get an opportunity for Ph.D. admission.
