Projects

• IBC (BIRAC): Integrating Biotechnological interventions to capture and utilization of CO2 from biogas: Harnessing Algal cultivation, photocatalytic CO2 conversion to mixed alcohol (PI: Koustuv Ray).
• LSR (TEXMiN): Production of low carbon ferro-manganese by solid state reduction (PI: Gour Gopal Roy).

Essential Qualifications

Junior Research Fellow (IBC/2026/101)

• Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Engineering or Technology Course selected through CSIR-UGC NET for JRF eligibility or GATE, or national-level examinations conducted by DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.
• Minimum 60% marks in the qualifying examination. For B.Tech./B.E. in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology/Materials Science and Engineering, GATE qualification is mandatory. For M.E./M.Tech degree holders, GATE is not mandatory. Candidates looking for MS/Ph.D through project mode are preferred.

Project Scientist-I (LSR/2026/101)

• Doctoral Degree in Science or Masters/Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent, with 4 years experience in Research and Development in industrial and academic institutions or Science and Technology Organizations.
• Research experience with heat treatment, characterization, solid state oxide ore reduction, Factsage and reaction kinetics desirable.

Important Notes
