The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) invites applications for the post of Director (Market Operation) on the Board of Grid Controller of India Limited (Grid-India), a Schedule 'A'/Miniratna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
About Grid-India
Grid Controller of India Limited (Grid-India), formerly known as Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO), is a wholly owned Government of India Company. It operates the National Load Despatch Centre (NLDC) and five Regional Load Despatch Centres (RLDCs) since 1 October 2010, ensuring integrated operation of the Indian Power System.
Job Description
Director (Market Operation) is a member of the Board of Directors, reporting to the Chairman and Managing Director. Responsible for commercial operations, electricity market operations, open access in inter-state transmission, Power Exchange operations, accounting and settlement of electricity transmitted, deviation settlement, pool account operations, integration of renewable energy, REC mechanism, and legal and regulatory affairs.
Eligibility Criteria
Age (as on DOV: 01.06.2027)
- Age of superannuation: 60 years
- Internal candidates: Minimum 45 years with at least 2 years residual service
- External candidates: Minimum 45 years with at least 3 years residual service
Employment Status
Applicant must be employed in a regular capacity (not contractual/ad-hoc) in one of: CPSE, Central Govt Group 'A' Officers, Armed Forces, AIS, PSBs, Financial Institutions, Autonomous Bodies, SPSE (turnover Rs. 2,000 cr+), or Private Sector/JV (turnover Rs. 2,000 cr+).
Qualification
Engineering Graduate from a recognised University/Institution. MBA/PGDM or Post Graduate in Economics will have added advantage.
Experience
At least 5 years of cumulative experience, during the last 10 years, in Power Market Operations or Power System Operations in an organisation of repute.
Pay Scale
Rs. 180,000 – 340,000 (IDA) – Schedule A
Tenure
Five years from the date of joining or upto the date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
