Overview

The Technology Head will be responsible for leading the end-to-end technology strategy, architecture, development, and operations of the MY Bharat platform. This includes overseeing a multidisciplinary technical team, driving the platform’s rebuild using a modular and scalable microservices-based architecture, managing its successful migration, and ensuring ongoing performance optimization. The role demands hands-on expertise in full-stack development, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, data security, and agile delivery, while ensuring all technology solutions align with the platform’s vision and evolving requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Define and drive the technical architecture using a modular and microservices-based approach.
2. Lead development across web (React JS), mobile (React Native), and backend (Laravel PHP) systems.
3. Manage cloud infrastructure and ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
4. Implement DevOps best practices for CI/CD using Jenkins, Git, Docker, and AWS pipelines etc.
5. Set up monitoring and alerting systems using ELK Stack and OpenSearch.
6. Oversee user authentication and security using Keycloak, JWT, and AES-256.
7. Coordinate portal migration activities to transition the existing platform to the new architecture with minimal disruption.
8. Lead a technical team responsible for feature development, system upgrades, and maintenance.
9. Work with stakeholders to prioritize requirements, translate them into technical tasks, and ensure timely delivery.
10. Ensure compliance with MeitY guidelines and other government security and data policies.
11. Manage technology teams to execute AI features/modules, overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring timely delivery of technical solutions.
12. Ensure successful project delivery, risk mitigation, and adherence to timelines through robust project management processes.
13. Deliver regular updates and reports to senior leadership ensuring transparency in project progress and outcomes.
14. Foster a collaborative work environment by managing, mentoring, and developing the technology team to enhance their technical capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/IT, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12+ years of experience in full-stack software development and architecture.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior technology leadership role.
• AWS or equivalent cloud certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) – preferred.
• Prior experience in large-scale digital platforms, preferably in government or public sector projects.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong expertise in designing scalable, modular, and secure web and mobile applications.
• Deep hands-on experience with React JS, React Native, Laravel PHP, and cloud  ecosystem.
• Proficient in implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Docker, and AWS tools etc.
• Strong understanding of modern identity and security protocols (Keycloak, JWT, AES-256).
• Experience with messaging systems (RabbitMQ) and microservices communication patterns.
• Expertise in monitoring and log management using ELK Stack and OpenSearch.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills across internal and vendor teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Effective communication skills for working with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Consolidated Remuneration:

• Consolidated remuneration shall be commensurate with qualifications and experience within the approved project norms.
