Age Limit
Upper age limit not exceeding 45 years as on 08 October 2026. Relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
Eligibility
Essential (option a): Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education with minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in ship building / ship repair / engineering / offshore / marine related / Government company, including minimum 2 years in a supervisory capacity. Essential (option b): ITI (NTC) in Welding / Sheet metal worker / Bench fitter / Fitter / Plumber trade from NCVT/SCVT institute with minimum 15 years post-qualification experience in the same industries. Desirable: Post-diploma qualification in NDT is an added advantage.
Selection Process
Objective-type test(s) of 100 marks and certificate verification; minimum pass marks 50% (UR), 45% (OBC, for OBC vacancies), 40% (SC/ST, for SC/ST vacancies) of each test.

Rs.300/- (non-refundable, plus bank charges). SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted.
