Who Can Apply
All Indian Nationals who have completed 23 years of age and possess the requisite educational/professional qualifications and work-experience can apply. Upper age limit, essential qualification and post-qualification experience are reckoned as on the closing date, i.e. 15.10.2026.
Tenure of Engagement
- Initial tenure up to three (03) years from the date of joining, extendable by up to two (2) additional years, one year at a time, depending on eligibility, satisfactory performance and at the discretion of the Company.
- The maximum period of engagement shall not be more than five (05) years.
- Performance is reviewed annually and the tenure can be extended subject to satisfactory performance.
Remuneration & Other Benefits
- Monthly consolidated retainership-fee: YP-1 Rs. 70,000/-, YP-2 Rs. 1,00,000/-, YP-3 Rs. 1,40,000/-.
- Annual increment at 4% / 7% / 10% of monthly consolidated retainership fee based on performance.
- Accommodation: outstation YPs provided company accommodation subject to availability – 2-bedroom or equivalent monthly rent of Rs. 6,000 at city locations (YP-3 may be considered for 3-bedroom / equivalent at Rs. 10,000). No HRA. During the initial 3 months, SAIL Guest House/Transit House at Rs. 200/- per day.
- Communication: mobile/broadband ceiling of Rs. 800/- (YP-1), Rs. 1,000/- (YP-2), Rs. 1,200/- (YP-3) per month.
- Medical: free OPD & IPD at Company-owned Hospital for self, spouse and two dependent children; city-location OPD reimbursement Rs. 2,000/2,500/3,000 per month (YP-1/2/3) and self-insurance premium reimbursement up to Rs. 20,000/25,000/30,000 per year. Self-insurance cover is mandatory.
- Official travel: YP-1 – Rail 2AC/CC, stay upto Rs. 2,000/day; YP-2 – Air (Economy)/Rail 2AC/CC, stay upto Rs. 2,500/day; YP-3 – Air (Economy)/Rail 1AC/EC, stay upto Rs. 3,000/day.

Rs. 500/- for Young Professionals – YP-1, YP-2 and YP-3 categories (online mode only).
Selection Process
Applications received by the closing date will be scrutinized for fulfilment of eligibility criteria. For large number of applications against each engagement (more than five times the requirement), a Computer-based/Aptitude/General Management/Psychometric Test may be organized, or applicants may be asked to appear in any standard test/exam for short-listing for personal interaction/interview in the ratio of 1:3. If less than five times the requirement, all candidates may be called for personal interview. CBT/Personal Interview will be held at centres spread across the country.

- Joining is subject to furnishing a general medical fitness certificate issued by a qualified/authorised medical practitioner.
- Candidates should apply for only one Engagement, as they will be allowed to appear for CBT/Interview only with a valid Admit Card/Call Letter.
Other Terms
- The engagement is purely temporary in nature as a contract for service and shall not create any right to regular appointment or any employer-employee relationship.
- No other perks/allowances, loans/advances, PRP, Provident Fund, pension, gratuity or terminal/service benefits are payable.
- During the first six months either party may terminate with seven days' notice; beyond that, one month's notice or one month's retainership fee in lieu of notice period.
- Fees once paid cannot be refunded. The decision of SAIL, CMO/EMD on eligibility, acceptance/rejection and issue of call letters shall be final and binding.
