Railway Recruitment Cell, Northern Railway (RRC NR), Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi — Notification No. RRC/NR/03/2026/Act Apprentice (06/11/2026). Online applications invited for engagement of 4651 Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for training at various Divisions/Units/Workshops over Northern Railway. Training does not confer right to absorption in Railway.
Important Dates: Online application opens 11/11/2026 | Closes 11/12/2026 (23:59 hrs) | Expected merit: February 2027.
Eligibility (as on 06/11/2026): SSC/Matriculation/10th (10+2 system) with minimum 50% marks (aggregate) from recognized Board + ITI in relevant trade (NCVT/SCVT, Govt. of India recognized). Candidates with awaited SSC/ITI results not eligible.
Age (as on 11/12/2026): 15–24 years. Relaxation: SC/ST +5, OBC +3, PwBD +10, Ex-servicemen as per rules. OBC (NCL) certificate (Central Govt format) issued on/after 01/01/2026 for 2026-27.
Application Fee (online, non-refundable): ₹100 (UR/OBC). No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women.
Selection: Merit-based (no written test/viva) — average of % marks in 10th (min 50% aggregate) and ITI with equal weightage. Tie: older age; then earlier matriculation pass. Cluster/trade/community-wise merit.
