Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana – Department of Plant Breeding & Genetics invites applications on the prescribed form for engagement of one post of Sr. Research Fellow on a contract basis in the scheme “National Mission of High Yielding Seeds (NMHYS), Pigeonpea, ICAR-102 (PC-2821)”.

Summary

Educational Qualifications

1. B.Sc. (Agri.) / B.Sc. (Hort.) / B.Sc. (Biotechnology) with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks.
2. M.Sc. in Plant Breeding / Plant Breeding & Genetics / Agricultural Biotechnology / Agricultural Sciences (with research/project on crop plants) with minimum OCPA 6.50/10.00 basis or 65% marks.

Notes

• The candidate who does not possess Master's degree in the relevant subject, but possesses Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at Master's level, shall be eligible for the post.
• The candidates having postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences with three years Bachelor's degree must have passed NET and two years of research experience. However, Ph.D. candidates are exempted from this condition.
• Desirable: Experience/Research work in relevant field/pulse crops.

• Last date for receipt of applications, duly completed in all respects, is 01-10-2026. Incomplete applications or those not supported by requisite documents and proof of online payment will not be entertained.
• Candidates should appear for screening of original documents / interview on 12-10-2026 at 11.00 AM (screening of documents) in the office of the undersigned (Room No. 114, P.G. Building, PAU, Ludhiana for Plant Breeding & Genetics posts). No separate information for interview will be sent.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Applications should be addressed to the Head of the concerned department, PAU, Ludhiana.
