The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru - ranked first among law universities in India by NIRF for eight consecutive years - invites applications for 2 positions of Assistant Professor (Social Sciences) on a 2-year contract basis (Unreserved).

Subjects
Economics (macroeconomics; econometrics), Statistical methods, Mathematical methods for Economics, Sociology & Anthropology (preferably environmental or science and technology as sub-disciplines of expertise), and Public Finance.
Essential Qualifications
- A master's degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed).
- Relaxation of 5% provided at graduate and master's level for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Differently Abled categories.
- Communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills necessary for pastoral care and administration of undergraduate and graduate students.
Desirable Qualifications
- Publications in high-quality academic journals.
- Demonstrated academic excellence in University education.
- Evidence of skills needed for higher education teaching and a research record commensurate with career stage.
