Eligibility & General Conditions

Deputation Basis: Officers of Central/State Government or Union Territory or Public Sector Undertakings or autonomous/statutory organisations holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department, OR possessing the prescribed regular service in the feeder grade as per the notice. A Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 2 years' experience in criminal investigation/intelligence/IT case handling is required.

Age: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation is 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of nominations.

Special Security Allowance: Selected officers are eligible for 20% Special Security Allowance (SSA) over and above the pay, as per rules.

Candidates will be considered through the deputation route only. Nominations received in the prescribed format will be scrutinised by the NIA, and eligible officers may be called for interview/discussion as required.
