Role & Qualification

Full time Post Graduate in Social Science, Rural Development / MSW / MBA / Agriculture Science or equivalent discipline.

Experience Required: Minimum 5 Years of Experience in relevant field.

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Identify stakeholders like vulnerable, socially excluded groups, Women, Differently abled, SC/STs, Minorities and other under privileged sections (as per SECC-Auto-inclusion & deprived families) and mobilize them into Self Help Groups and its federations.
• Undertake field visits proactively - minimum 20 days of field work.
• Co-ordinate Households and BMMU team for implementation of Mission Activities at Block Level.
• Roll-out Micro Plan process for community and their institutions.
• Facilitate Credit linkage support to SHGs through timely disbursement of Community Support Fund (like Start-up fund, RF, CIF, VRF, etc.) and Bank Linkage.
• Liaison with Banks and other financial institutions at the district level, specifically with commercial banks, for fostering the SHG bank linkage program to ensure greater financial inclusion.
• Support Community Federations in layering activities like social security and development, convergence, livelihoods activities, partnership, etc.
• Identify and develop Community Cadre by providing proper handholding support.
• Conduct training need assessment, develop training materials, plan and implement training for community based organisations and community cadre.
• Work as master trainer for BMMU, community, community institution, community cadre and other stakeholders.
• Extend cooperation and support to external agencies in proper implementation of Baseline, Midterm and End Term surveys.
• Document case studies of best practices, success stories and innovations of Social Mobilisation and Institution Building existing in the district; share with SMMU for replication in other districts.
• Strengthen communities on social mobilisation and institution building component with special emphasis on gender agenda.
• Prepare Vulnerability Plan (VRP) & ensure VRF released to SHGs / GPLFs.
• Prepare gender case studies and submit to SMMU.
• Facilitate VPRP preparation and submit to GPs.
• Take up any other task as allocated by competent authority.
