- Pharmacopoeias – IP, BP, USP, NF and their salient features
- Packaging materials – glass, plastic, metal, rubber (selection, advantages, disadvantages)
- Pharmaceutical aids – colours, flavouring and sweetening agents
- Dosage forms – formulation, advantages/disadvantages, methods of preparation
- Quality control tests, quality assurance and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

- Lymphatic system – lymph, lymphatic system composition, spleen & lymph nodes
- Cardiovascular system – anatomy & physiology of heart, blood vessels, cardiac cycle, blood pressure, ECG basics
- Respiratory system – anatomy, regulation & mechanism of respiration, lung volumes
- Digestive system – GIT anatomy & physiology, accessory glands, digestion & absorption
- Skeletal muscles – histology, muscle contraction physiology, disorders
Examination Pattern (ER-2020 D.Pharm)
Theory (Final Board/University Exam – 3 hours, 80 marks):
