IIT Madras - Project Scientist-I (Non-Medical), MST (Advt. No. ICSR/PR/Advt.202/2026, dated 28/09/2026)
Applications are invited for the temporary post of Project Scientist-I (Non-Medical) (02 vacancies), Department of Medical Sciences and Technology (MST), IIT Madras, under the ICMR-sponsored project “ICMR Centre for Advanced Research – ICMR-NIRT CCR for Tuberculosis Diagnostics & Therapeutics”. Coordinator: Prof. Narayanan Madaboosi Srinivasan. Duration: initially one year, extendable based on performance.
Qualification & Experience
- First-class PG degree (including integrated PG), or PhD; OR second-class PG degree (including integrated PG) with PhD.
- Age limit: up to 35 years.
Job Description
- Sample collection, archiving and sample preparation pertaining to all aspects of the study.
- Direct link between ICMR-NIRT and IITM for sample logistics and handling.
- Benchwork for development and optimisation of isothermal nucleic acid testing based on padlock probing.
- Preference: experience in handling bio-fluids and sample preparation; knowledge of biorepository and sample validation.
Pay
Rs. 56,000/- + HRA (30%) = Rs. 72,800/- per month (including HRA).
