Applications are invited for the temporary post of Project Research Scientist III (Non-Medical), Department of Medical Sciences and Technology (MST), IIT Madras, under the ICMR-sponsored project “ICMR Centre for Advanced Research – ICMR-NIRT CCR for Tuberculosis Diagnostics & Therapeutics”. Coordinator: Prof. Narayanan Madaboosi Srinivasan. Duration: initially one year, extendable annually for another 4 years based on performance. Vacancy: 01.
Qualification & Experience
- First-class PG degree (including integrated PG) with 5 years of experience, or PhD; OR second-class PG degree (including integrated PG) with PhD and 5 years of experience.
- Age limit: up to 45 years.
Desirable
- Experience in operations management (in R&D units, start-ups, incubators/accelerators, core facility, etc.) towards planned CCR operations.
- Knowledge & experience in integration of opto-mechanical readout platforms.
Job Description
Scientist-cum-research manager for organisation and coordination of research activities and project management; ensuring project objectives, timelines and experimental workflows are systematically managed; coordinating project fellows; compilation of project reports and deliverables; development of engineering modules for integration of optical readout units with nucleic acid bioassays.
Pay
Rs. 78,000/- + HRA (30%) = Rs. 1,01,400/- per month (including HRA).
