Applications are invited for the temporary post of Project Research Scientist II (Non-Medical), Department of Medical Sciences and Technology (MST), IIT Madras, under the ICMR-sponsored project “ICMR Centre for Advanced Research – ICMR-NIRT CCR for Tuberculosis Diagnostics & Therapeutics”. Coordinator: Prof. Narayanan Madaboosi Srinivasan. Duration: initially one year, extendable based on performance. Vacancy: 01.
Qualification & Experience
- First-class PG degree (including integrated PG) with 3 years of experience, or PhD; OR second-class PG degree (including integrated PG) with PhD and 3 years of experience.
- Age limit: up to 40 years.
Job Description
- Bioassay development pertaining to biosensing of specific biomarkers (DNA, cell-free DNA and RNA) and lateral flow testing.
- Integration of bioassay modules with optical and opto-mechanical readout units for validation studies.
- Coordination with the core facility for spatial studies on tissue samples.
- Compilation of technical reports and publications.
- Preference: experience in design and development of NAAT; knowledge of diverse readout platform operations.
Pay
Rs. 67,000/- + HRA (30%) = Rs. 87,100/- per month (including HRA).
