1. YP-II | NACAP | Microbiology / Agricultural Microbiology / Chemistry
Essential: Master's Degree in Microbiology / Agricultural Microbiology / Chemistry with NET qualification. Should have data analysis skills.
Desirable: Previous work experience in agricultural microbiology projects, specifically in developing formulation/delivery systems of microorganisms, valorization of agro-industrial wastes, and handling equipment such as fermenters, GC, HPLC and electrophoresis; good knowledge of statistical tools.

2. YP-II | NACAP | Environmental Sciences / Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry
Essential: First class Master's degree with specialization in Environmental Sciences / Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry (with thesis work).
Desirable: Working knowledge/experience of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and LCA tools; handling of instruments like GC and GC-MS; scientific literature review; good scientific writing skills; data curation and analysis using advanced software such as R.

3. YP-II | NACAP | Environmental Science (5+ years climate research)
Essential: First class Master's degree in Environmental Science. A minimum of five years of research experience in climate change and its impacts on agriculture. Those with a 3-year Bachelor's degree must have UGC/ICAR/CSIR/NET.
Desirable: Proficiency in field experimentation, plant and soil sample collection, processing and laboratory analysis; hands-on experience operating and maintaining laboratory instruments including flame photometer, spectrophotometer, Kjeldahl nitrogen analyzer, infrared gas analyzer (IRGA) and canopy analyzer; literature review, data extraction/compilation, statistical analysis, interpretation and visualization using MS Excel; preparation of research papers and scientific reports.

4. YP-II | NACAP | Environmental Sciences / Soil Science
Essential: Master's Degree / M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences / Soil Science with first class or OGPA >= 7.5 from a recognized university / institution.
Desirable: Experience in chromatographic greenhouse gas (GHG) analysis, crop modelling and proficiency in computer use and data analysis; experience in taking field observations and samplings.

5. YP-II | NACAP | Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry / Environmental Sciences / Agricultural Microbiology / Agronomy
Essential: Master's Degree / M.Sc. in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Agricultural Microbiology or Agronomy with first class / OGPA >= 7.5 from a recognized university / institution.
Desirable: Experience in collection, handling, processing and analysis of soil and/or plant samples using standard analytical protocols; hands-on experience operating at least two to three analytical instruments (CHNS, AAS, Spectrophotometer) commonly used for soil and plant analysis; proficiency in computer applications including MS Office and other relevant IT tools; working knowledge of standard statistical software / packages.

6. YP-II | NACAP | Hydrology / Water Resources / Soil & Water Conservation Engineering
Essential: M.Tech. in Hydrology / Water Resources Engineering / Soil and Water Conservation Engineering / Irrigation and Drainage Engineering or its equivalent.
Desirable: Expertise in handling climatic data; proficiency in ArcGIS / QGIS and SWAT / SWAT+ / MODFLOW / WEAP models; experience with GEE, Python and R programming and GIS data processing.

7. YP-II | NACAP | Agriculture / Basic Sciences (Life Sciences)
Essential: Postgraduate degree in Agriculture / basic science (Life Sciences), or graduate / postgraduate degree in professional courses (Life Sciences or Agricultural Sciences).

**Emoluments:**
- Young Professional (YP-II): Rs. 42,000/- per month (Fixed)
- Young Professional (YP-I): Rs. 30,000/- per month (Fixed)
- Project Associate-II (PA-II): Rs. 35,000/- per month + 24% HRA for 1st & 2nd year; Rs. 42,000/- per month + 24% HRA for 3rd, 4th & 5th year
- Project Assistant (PA): Rs. 20,000/- per month + 24% HRA for 1st, 2nd & 3rd year; Rs. 23,000/- per month + 24% HRA for 4th & 5th year

**Age limit:** Maximum 45 years for YP-II / YP-I and 35 years for PA-II / PA (relaxation of five years for SC/ST and women and three years for OBC).

**Terms & Conditions:**
1. The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis.
2. The selected candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute or any ICAR Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project.
3. The interview for eligible candidates will be held online, details of which will be communicated by email. Reporting time for the online interview will be communicated and all candidates shall adhere to the instructions.
4. The candidates must compulsorily fill the application form strictly as per the annexed format, along with all self-attested scanned certificates from X class onwards, date of birth certificate, NET/equivalent certificate, bachelor's and master's degree certificates (or provisional certificates) and a recent photograph. Proof of experience and publications must also be emailed by 31st October 2026. The selected candidate will be required to produce all original documents and a medical certificate at the time of joining.
5. Failure to submit the required documents along with the application will lead to rejection and no further communication will be entertained.
6. No TA/DA or any other expenses will be paid for attending the interview. Candidates will be solely responsible for making arrangements to attend the online interview.
7. Only candidates possessing the essential qualifications will be entertained for the online interview.
8. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.
9. A candidate intending to attend the online interview, if any of his/her near or distant relative is an employee of ICAR-IARI, must furnish the name, designation, nature of duties and relationship in writing so as to reach by 31st October 2026. In such a case the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the interview or the candidature will be cancelled.
10. The Director, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi reserves the right to cancel or postpone the interview, or cancel specific posts, without assigning any reason. The Director also reserves the right to terminate the contract even before the completion of the project, for which no appeal shall be entertained.
11. Any dispute shall be resolved within the jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi only.
