HPRCA Clerk Eligibility Criteria Candidates applying for HPRCA Clerk Recruitment 2026 must meet the educational qualification, typing speed, and domicile-linked schooling conditions given below. Eligibility is assessed as on 11.09.2026, the closing date for submission of the ORA.

Age Limit

HPRCA Clerk Age Limit Minimum age: 18 years Maximum age: 45 years Age will be reckoned as on 01.01.2026 Upper age relaxation of up to 5 years is permissible for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes who are domiciles of Himachal Pradesh, Persons with Disabilities, employees of the Himachal Pradesh Government, and Ex-servicemen of Himachal Pradesh, as per the general or special order(s) of the Department of Personnel, Government of Himachal Pradesh Before submitting the application, candidates are advised to verify that they meet the required age criteria. Selection Process

Selection process: HPRCA Clerk Selection Process Computer Based Test (CBT)/written screening test of 120 marks, of 1½ hours (one and a half hours) duration, or as decided by the Aayog The test consists of 120 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 1 mark, covering: General Knowledge (including HP General Knowledge and Current Affairs); Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English and General Hindi of Matric Standard; and Word Processing on computer Minimum qualifying marks: 45% for General category, 40% for SC/ST/OBC/Wards of Freedom Fighters — relaxable by up to 5% (to 40% for General and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/WFF) if sufficient candidates are not available Shortlisted candidates (based on CBT/screening test merit) must then appear for a prescribed typing skill test, which is qualifying in nature In multi-shift CBT exams, scores are normalized using the Z-Score (Mean and Standard Deviation) Method Final selection is followed by document verification of shortlisted candidates Also Read:  HPPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Online for 369 Posts
