IIT Ropar Defence Research and Innovation Foundation (DRIF) is a Section 8 company established at IIT Ropar. Applications are invited for the position of लेखा अधिकारी (Accounts Officer) on contract.

कार्य विवरण

• Report to the CEO for all matters; prepare and put up monthly accounts to the CEO / MD.
• Assist the CEO in preparation of future projections for the next financial years by December of each preceding year.
• Keep books of accounts updated at all times and put them up to the CEO / MD as and when asked.
• Execute all tasks relating to financial matters with the IIT Ropar main accounts department or any other department as directed.
• Use Tally for preparation of accounts; prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
• Support audits (internal and external) and coordinate with auditors; maintain documentation for all financial transactions.
• Maintain budget records and track utilisation of budgeted funds; prepare invoices of I&D projects, DGR and ARTRAC courses.
• Booking of taxis, rail and air tickets and accommodation for office bearers on directions of the CEO / MD.
• Ensure no pending dues remain beyond 15 days including holidays; operate the GeM portal on behalf of DRIF.
• Any other duties assigned by the CEO / MD from time to time.

आवश्यक कौशल एवं योग्यता

• CA / CMA / ICWA / M.Com having 70% marks.
• Proficiency in accounting software, GeM and Government procurement platforms, Tally, PFMS, payroll accounting and e-TDS.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards and regulations; knowledge of GST, TDS and other Indian tax regulations.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; good communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good knowledge of the defence procurement system; knowledge of accounting systems related to defence IR&D funds is an added advantage.
• Candidates who have earlier worked with the Armed Forces will be preferred; knowledge of Punjabi will be preferred.
