Solid State Physics Laboratory (SSPL), a premier laboratory of the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, invites eligible candidates for a walk-in-interview for the positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Research Associate (RA).

🎓 Educational Qualifications

Junior Research Fellow (JRF):

• Post Graduate Degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Physics/Electronics with First Division AND NET qualified OR
• Graduate Degree (B.E./B.Tech in Engineering Physics/Electronics) with First Division AND NET/GATE qualified OR
• Post Graduate Degree (M.E./M.Tech) with First Division at both Graduate and Post Graduate Level

Research Associate (RA):

• Ph.D. or Equivalent Degree in Physics/Electronics OR
• M.E./M.Tech with 3 years of Research experience in Semiconductor Materials, Devices Fabrication and Characterization with at least one research paper in SCI journal
• Candidates who have submitted Ph.D. thesis may also apply. Associateship awarded only after degree/provisional certificate issued.

Candidates must appear for the walk-in-interview with:

• Duly filled application form as per Appendix 'A'
• Attested copies of Mark sheets/Certificates
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• Experience Certificates
• Publications (if any)
• One recent passport size photograph affixed on the application form
• NOC from current employer (for Govt/PSU/Autonomous Body candidates)

💰 Stipend Details

📌 Important Terms

• Age Relaxation: As per Government rules for SC/ST/OBC
• Tenure: Purely temporary. Fellowship may be terminated with one-month notice. No right for absorption/regular appointment in DRDO.
• Screening Test: May be conducted on the same day if number of candidates is large
• No electronic gadgets allowed inside SSPL premises
• No TA/DA admissible for attending interview or joining
• Some vacancies are regular and some are DRDO specific project basis — fellowship may be terminated after project completion
• SSPL reserves the right to amend/modify/cancel the advertisement
