Date of Walk-in Interview: Document verification on 06 October 2026 (09:30 to 11:30 hrs); Written Test on 06 Oct; Interview on 06 Oct and if required from 08:30 hrs on 07 October 2026

Discipline

• Mechanical Engineering: 05 Posts - Mechanical Engg, Mechanical & Automation Engg, Mechanical & Production Engg

Note: The number of fellowships may increase or decrease depending on organizational/Lab requirement.

Essential Qualifications (Any One)

• B.E./B.Tech in the above disciplines in First Division with a valid GATE score (GATE scores of Year 2024, 2025 & 2026 only acceptable); or
• M.E./M.Tech in the above disciplines in First Division both at Graduate & Post-graduate level

Fellowship Terms

• Stipend: Rs. 37,000/- per month + House Rent Allowance (HRA) as admissible
• Tenure: Initially 02 years, extendable for further 02 years (one year at a time) subject to satisfactory performance
• Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on date of interview; relaxation 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC (Non-creamy layer)
• Nationality: Only Indian nationals

Selection Process

1. Document verification on 06 October 2026 (09:30 to 11:30 hrs)
2. Written Test after scrutiny of documents on 06 October 2026
3. Interview on 06 October 2026 and, if required, from 08:30 hrs on 07 October 2026

Documents Required

• Duly filled application form (as per format on drdo.gov.in)
• Attested copies of certificates/testimonials (qualification, experience, caste)
• Recent passport-size photograph affixed on the application
• Originals of all certificates/testimonials for verification
• No-Objection-Certificate from employer (for Government/PSU/Autonomous body employees)

Important Notes

• Candidates arriving late will not be allowed to participate
• Incomplete applications will be rejected during screening
• Documents in languages other than English require duly self-attested English transcripts
• Fellowship does not confer any right for absorption in DRDO
