The Zoological Survey of India (ZSI), under the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, will hold a walk-in interview on 18 November 2026 for one Research Associate (RA) post in its Diptera Section at ZSI HQ, 'M' Block, New Alipore, Kolkata-700053. The engagement is for the ANRF-funded (earlier DST-SERB) project "Hematophagous biting midges (Diptera: Ceratopogonidae) of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands with an emphasis on their ecological, molecular aspects and association with human and livestock". Candidates with a PhD in Zoology/Life Sciences, aged up to 35 years on the date of interview, should register between 10:00 AM and 10:45 AM (interview begins at 11:00 AM) with all original documents. The remuneration is ₹47,000 per month plus admissible HRA, and the post is purely temporary, co-terminus with the project (March 2027).
