Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, invites applications for appointment to 01 (one) post of Junior Hindi Officer (Class-II), PWD (UR) (Erstwhile PWD (UR) Group-B) on a regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs. 40,000-1,40,000 (pre-revised Rs. 16,400-40,500 / 8,600-14,600) in the General Administration Department by Direct Recruitment.

Essential Qualifications
Any one of the following:
- Master's Degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at Degree level.
- OR Master's Degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as one of the subjects of Degree level.
- OR Master's Degree from a recognized University in any subject with Hindi and English as subjects of the Degree level.
- OR Master's Degree from a recognized University in any subject with Hindi medium and English as a subject of the Degree level.
Experience: 5 (five) years' experience of terminological work in Hindi and / or translation work from English to Hindi or vice versa, preferably of Technical or Scientific literature; OR 5 (five) years' experience of Teaching, Research, Writing or Journalism in Hindi.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Sanskrit and / or a Modern Indian Language.
- Administrative experience.
- Experience of organizing Hindi classes or workshops for noting and drafting.
Age Limit
Upper age limit is 35 years as on 01.09.2026 (55 years for existing officers / employees of Major Port Authorities). Age relaxation applies as per Government of India guidelines.
