Overview
Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the Senior Instructor (Jyeshtha Anudeshak) Recruitment 2026 notification for 132 posts under Advertisement No. 21-Pareeksha/2026 for the State Rural Development Institute (Senior Instructor Cadre). Online applications are accepted at upsssc.gov.in from 14 September 2026 to 5 October 2026.

All 132 posts are permanent (Sthayi). Horizontal reservation is also available for divyangjan (persons with disabilities), women, dependents of freedom fighters, ex-servicemen, and outstanding sportspersons.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and hold a valid score card issued by the Commission. Shortlisting for the Main Examination is done post-wise, category-wise, at 15 times the number of vacancies, based on the normalized PET-2025 score. Candidates with a zero or negative normalized/absolute PET-2025 score will not be shortlisted.

Selected candidates are placed at Pay Level-6 of the UP government pay matrix, with a pay range of Rs. 35,400 (minimum) to Rs. 112,400 (maximum).

Dependents of freedom fighters, ex-servicemen, women, divyangjan, and outstanding sportspersons pay the fee applicable to their original category. Fee can be paid via Credit Card/Debit Card/Internet Banking/UPI or SBI e-Challan only. The Main Examination fee (for those shortlisted) is paid separately, and the amount is not specified in this notification.
Selection Process
Selection is based solely on performance in the Main Written Examination. There is no interview.
- Shortlisting for the Main Exam uses the normalized PET-2025 score (post-wise, category-wise, at 15 times the vacancies).
- The Main Exam consists of 100 objective-type, multiple-choice questions worth 100 marks, to be completed in 2 hours (120 minutes).
- Negative marking: 1/4 of the marks allotted to a question is deducted for each wrong answer.
