UPSSSC – Kshetriya Yuva Kalyan evam Pradeshik Vikas Dal Adhikari & Vyayam Prashikshak Main Examination 2026

The Uttar Pradesh Adhinasth Seva Chayan Ayog (UPSSSC), Lucknow has released Advertisement No. 23-Pariksha/2026 inviting online applications for the Main Examination for 412 posts of Kshetriya Yuva Kalyan evam Pradeshik Vikas Dal Adhikari (Regional Youth Welfare & Provincial Development Dal Officer) and Vyayam Prashikshak (Exercise Trainer) under the Directorate of Youth Welfare and Prantiya Rakshak Dal Mahanideshalay, Uttar Pradesh. Applications can be submitted online at upsssc.gov.in from 16 October 2026 to 6 November 2026.

Important: Only candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 (PET-2025) and have been issued a PET-2025 score card by the Commission are eligible to apply. Shortlisting for the Main Exam is based on merit using the normalised PET-2025 score. Candidates whose absolute or normalised PET-2025 score is zero or negative will not be shortlisted.

Vacancy Details (Total 412 Posts)

Of the total, 368 posts (142 Special + 226 Regular) are for Kshetriya Yuva Kalyan evam Pradeshik Vikas Dal Adhikari and 44 posts (22 + 22) are for Vyayam Prashikshak. "Special Selection" is a separate quota under which only SC, ST and OBC vacancies are shown (UR and EWS columns are nil for these rows). Vacancy numbers may increase or decrease as per the latest reservation policy and the requisitioning department's confirmation.

Horizontal Reservation (Table-2)

H.H. = Hard of Hearing (the notified disability sub-category). Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS of UP applies as per prevailing UP Government notifications and the department's requisition. 4% horizontal reservation for Divyangjan is ensured across Group Ka, Kha, Ga and Gha posts.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• Age reckoning date: 1 July of the calendar year in which vacancies are advertised for direct recruitment.
• Minimum age: 21 years; Maximum age: 40 years.
• Upper-age relaxation for SC/ST and other categories as notified by the Government from time to time.

Salary

• Adhikari: Level-5, ₹29,200–92,300
• Vyayam Prashikshak: Level-6, ₹35,400–1,12,400

Application Fee

Dependants of freedom fighters, ex-servicemen, women, Divyangjan and Outstanding Sportsperson candidates pay the fee applicable to their original base category. This ₹25 fee covers only the current application stage; the Main Examination fee is payable separately by shortlisted candidates before downloading the Main Exam admit card.

Selection Process

The basis of selection is the written (Main) examination. The minimum physical standards and the Physical Efficiency Test are qualifying in nature; candidates clearing them are shortlisted, but the final merit list is prepared strictly on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination.

Written (Main) Examination Pattern

The written exam is a single objective-type multiple-choice paper of 2 hours (120 minutes). Each question carries 1 mark, with a negative marking of 25% (one-fourth) of the marks allotted for each wrong answer.

Physical Efficiency Test (Qualifying)

Candidates must also clear a discipline-specific Physical Efficiency Test. For male candidates: 200m Race, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put (up to 25 marks each; minimum 10 marks in each of the 4 events). For female candidates: 200m Race, Long Jump, Cricket Ball Throw, Skipping Rope (up to 25 marks each; minimum 45 marks combined across all 4 events, or across 3 events if only 3 are attempted). Vyayam Prashikshak candidates additionally undergo Indian Exercise and Gymnastics tests (e.g. Malkhamb/Aasan/Mugdar; Parallel Bar/Horizontal Bar/Vaulting Horse/Pommel Horse/Floor Exercise) with prescribed minimum aggregate marks.

How to Apply

1. Visit the UPSSSC website upsssc.gov.in and, under the "Live Advertisement Segment", open the relevant advertisement.
2. Log in using your PET-2025 registration number, verified via OTP sent to the registered mobile number/email.
3. Review the auto-filled personal details from PET-2025 (name, parents'/spouse's name, UP residency, category, EWS status, horizontal reservation details, date of birth, gender, marital status, contact details).
4. Select the post(s) you wish to apply for (a post not selected will not be considered).
5. Confirm qualification details (Yes/No) and enter board/institution/university name, year of passing, certificate/roll number and marks obtained.
6. Verify the auto-displayed photo and signature (cannot be changed at this stage).
7. Indicate any preferential qualification, and confirm your address from PET-2025.
8. Read and accept the declaration, enter the verification code, and submit. An 11-digit registration number is generated — retain a printed copy.
9. Pay the applicable fee online. The application cannot be finally submitted/downloaded until the fee is confirmed/adjusted by the bank.
10. Download, print and carefully verify the application form.

Important Instructions

• Candidates must possess the essential qualifications and other eligibility conditions and fall within the prescribed age limit by the application closing date (06/11/2026).
• EWS applicants must hold an EWS certificate issued between 01/04/2026 and 06/11/2026, based on income for FY 2025–26, valid for FY 2026–27, in the prescribed format.
• Only one application is to be made for the advertised posts.
• After final submission, applications can be modified only via the "Modify Application" option (specified fields only) up to 13/11/2026; category, date of birth and gender cannot be changed.
• Fee adjustment and application printout must be completed by 06/11/2026 or within 7 days thereafter (by 13/11/2026), failing which the application will not be considered valid.
