Post-wise Details

1. Principal (Vacancy No. 26075101725) – 124 Posts

• Pay Scale: Level-12 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
• Age: 50 years for UR/EWS, 53 years for OBC, 55 years for SC/ST; further relaxable up to 10 years for PwBD (subject to the maximum age limit of 56 years).
• Essential Qualifications: (A) Master''s Degree from a recognized University/Institute; (B) Bachelor of Education from a recognized University/Institute. Experience: Ten years'' experience of teaching (as Vice Principal/Post Graduate teacher/Trained Graduate Teacher) in a recognized High School/Higher Secondary School/Senior Secondary School/Intermediate College.
• Desirable: Doctorate Degree; experience of administrative charge of a recognized school.
• Duties: Head of School responsible for administrative, academic and financial jobs in the school.
• Probation: One (01) year. Headquarters: Directorate of Education, GNCT of Delhi, Old Secretariat, Delhi – 110054.

2. Vice-Principal (Vacancy No. 26075102725) – 704 Posts

• Pay Scale: Level-10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
• Age: 35 years for UR/EWS, 38 years for OBC, 40 years for SC/ST; further relaxable up to 10 years for PwBD (subject to the maximum age limit of 56 years).
• Essential Qualifications: (A) Master''s Degree from a recognized University/Institute; (B) Bachelor of Education from a recognized University. Experience: Two years'' experience as Post Graduate Teacher OR Three years'' experience as Trained Graduate Teacher.
• Duties: Assists the Principal in administrative, academic and financial responsibilities in the school.
• Probation: One (01) year. Headquarters: Directorate of Education, GNCT of Delhi, Old Secretariat, Delhi – 110054.

Important Conditions

• The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
• The experience qualification is relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC in the case of SC/ST candidates if sufficient candidates are not available.
• Reservation under the OBC category will be provided only to those candidates who submit OBC certificates issued by Govt. of NCT of Delhi; OBC certificates issued by other States/UTs will be considered as General/Unreserved.
• The post is permanent; General Central Service Group "A" Gazetted, Non-Ministerial; probation one year.
