The Uttar Pradesh Shiksha Seva Chayan Ayog (UPESSC), Prayagraj has released Advertisement No. 06/2026 for direct recruitment of Pravakta (PGT/Lecturer) posts in government-aided (ashaskiya sahayata prapt) secondary schools under the Secondary Education Directorate, Uttar Pradesh. Candidates can apply online at upessc.up.gov.in from 18 September 2026; the fee payment and application last date is 17 October 2026 and the last date for correction is 21 October 2026.

UPESSC Pravakta Important Dates

UPESSC Pravakta Age Limit (as on 1 July 2026)

Age is computed on the basis of Date of Birth recorded on the High School (or equivalent) certificate as on 1 July 2026; no other record is accepted for age verification.

UPESSC Pravakta Eligibility – Educational Qualification

For most of the 26 subjects, the essential qualification is a postgraduate degree in the relevant subject from a university/deemed university/institution established by law in India, together with a B.Ed (Shiksha Snatak) degree from an NCTE-recognised programme. Distinct patterns apply to:

UPESSC Pravakta Application Fee

Fee can be paid only via Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking through the online payment gateway after registration; it is valid only once confirmed by the bank.

UPESSC Pravakta Selection Process

Selection is based on a written examination of 360 marks followed by an interview of 40 marks (total 400 marks), and final merit is prepared from the combined score.

Application Process

1. One Time Registration (OTR): Complete OTR at upessc.up.gov.in (user manuals Hindi/English and tutorial videos available) before filling the application.
2. Fill the application: Application form must be filled in English. Since category, sub-category, date of birth and gender cannot be changed after final submission, verify details carefully.
3. Upload photo & signature: Signature must be scanned on white background, JPG/JPEG, 10 KB–200 KB, resolution 140×110 pixels. Photo in JPG/JPEG, 30 KB–300 KB, resolution 300–600 pixels.
4. Upload certificates: All documents in PDF format, 50 KB–500 KB.
5. Pay the fee and submit.
6. Retain three printed copies of the application for future use; two sets must be produced at the time of interview.
