Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture & Forestry, Nauni (Solan)-173230, Himachal Pradesh invites online applications from desirous and eligible candidates for direct recruitment on Job Trainee Basis of 02 posts (Junior Scale Stenographer & Field Assistant Gr-I) under ICAR-AICRP at the College of Horticulture & Forestry, Neri (Hamirpur), through the official website www.uhf.ac.in.

Vacancy Details

Minimum Essential Qualification

• Junior Scale Stenographer (Post Code 801): 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a Board of School Education/University recognized by the HP Government; shorthand speed English 80 WPM & Hindi 70 WPM; typewriting on computers English 40 WPM & Hindi 30 WPM; knowledge of Word Processing in Computer.
• Field Assistant Gr-I (Post Code 802): 10+2 Science from a recognized Board of School Education.

Desirable (all posts): Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

Age Limit

• 18 to 45 years (reckoned as on 01.01.2026).
• Five years relaxation in upper age limit admissible to bonafide SC/ST/OBC/PwD of Himachal Pradesh; for HP Govt. employees and Ex-Servicemen of HP, relaxation as per Government instructions.
• Candidate must have passed Matriculation and 10+2 from a school/institution situated within Himachal Pradesh (not applicable to Bonafide Himachalis).

Selection Process

1. Written Objective Type Examination (MCQ) – 100 Marks (90 minutes):

• Post Code 801 (Stenographer): HP GK & Current Affairs 40 marks; English (10+2) 40 marks; Hindi (Matric) 20 marks.
• Post Code 802 (Field Assistant): Science (10+2) 60 marks; English (10+2) 10 marks; Hindi (Matric) 10 marks; HP GK & Current Affairs 20 marks.
• Negative marking: 0.25 mark deducted for each wrong answer.

2. Typing Test (on computers) & Shorthand Test (Post Code 801 only) – Qualifying in nature. Candidates up to 20 times of total posts qualify from written exam and are called for these tests.
3. Documentation / Verification of original certificates and self-attested photocopies.

Final selection on the basis of written exam marks (MCQ) after passing the qualifying skill tests (where applicable).
