- Indian citizens; upper age limit 45 years as on 28 October 2026, i.e. born on or after 29 October 1981
- Upper age limit relaxable by 5 years for Scheduled Tribe candidates for the post reserved for them
- Selection process includes an objective type test and certificate verification; shortlisting may be based on the marks entered in the online application
- Candidates must possess the prescribed post-qualification experience, including at least two years in a supervisory grade
- Appointment is on regular basis; selected candidates will be placed at the minimum of the pay scale
