Post-wise Vacancy Details

* SCT - Stipendiary Cadre Trainee. The number of vacancies is only tentative and is liable to change without notice.

Eligibility

Age Limit (General): 18 to 22 years as on 1st July 2026. Via GO Ms No. 87 (GA Services-A Dept dated 18-05-2026), the upper age limit for direct recruitment in uniformed services has been raised by 5 years (in addition to the relaxations below).

• Home Guards (360 days duty in 2 years, still continuing): 18-40 years
• Telangana State Govt Employees: up to 5 years service
• Ex-Servicemen: 3 years + length of service rendered
• NCC Instructors (min 6 months whole-time): 3 years + length of service
• SC, ST, BC and EWS: 5 years

Gender eligibility: Post Codes 35 & 36 - Men only.

Educational Qualification:

• PC Mechanic (Post Code 35): SSC/Matriculation or equivalent PLUS ITI Certificate in Auto Electrician, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Diesel or Fitter, as on 29.07.2026.
• PC Driver (Post Code 36): Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent, OR SSC with ITI Certificate in Auto Electrician/Mechanic Motor Vehicle/Mechanic Diesel/Fitter; PLUS a valid HPMV and HGV/Transport Vehicle Driving Licence as on 29.07.2026.

Candidates with a higher qualification than prescribed are also considered eligible.

Selection Process (No Preliminary Written Test)

• PMT/PET (Common stage): 1600m Run (Men max 7 mts 15 sec, Ex-Servicemen 9 mts 30 sec), Height (Men min 162 cm, ST/Agency Area 160 cm), Long Jump (4 m) and Shot-Put (6 m, 7.26 kg) - qualifying in nature. PMT/PET valid across multiple TSLPRB notifications within 3 months.
• Trade Test (Mechanic) / Driving Test (Driver): 100 marks across 10 (Mechanic) or 8 (Driver) technical parameters. Minimum 50 marks overall with a minimum of 5 marks in each parameter; failing 3 or more parameters disqualifies even if the aggregate minimum is met.
• Written Examination: Objective Technical Paper, 200 questions, 200 marks, 3 hours. Qualifying marks: 40% for OC incl. EWS, 35% for BC, 30% for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen.
• Certificate Verification. Final selection is based on the aggregate of the Trade Test/Driving Test and the Written Examination.

Fee as designated in the Online Application. Concessional fee for local SC/ST candidates. Rebate: Rs. 50 per additional post applied for (local SC/ST) and Rs. 100 per additional notification (others). Fee can be paid via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or any other available mode. Fee once paid is not refundable. Register with Mobile Number as User ID on www.tgprb.in.
