TRB TNTET Result 2026 – Paper 1 & Paper 2 Result (2026)

The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB), Tamil Nadu, has declared the Special Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) 2026 result for working teachers on 12 October 2026. The result covers both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the Special TNTET, which were conducted on 4 July 2026 and 5 July 2026 respectively. Candidates who appeared in the examination can now check their paper-wise and subject-wise result online on the official TRB website, trb.tn.gov.in, through the dedicated result link. The TNTET eligibility certificate awarded to qualified candidates is valid for a lifetime, and the maximum marks for each paper are 150. This page brings together the latest status, key dates, exam statistics, qualifying marks, the step-by-step checking process and the official links for the TRB TNTET Result 2026.

TRB Result 2026 – Latest Status

The Special TNTET 2026 was conducted by TRB specifically for working teachers in the state of Tamil Nadu. Since TNTET is an eligibility test rather than a direct recruitment examination, no vacancy count is attached to this result. Instead, candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks are awarded the TNTET certificate, which can be used while applying for teacher recruitment processes conducted by TRB and other recruiting agencies. The result for both papers is hosted only on the official TRB portal and can be accessed freely without depending on any third-party website.

TRB Result 2026 – Overview

The Special TNTET 2026 was arranged specifically for candidates who are already working as teachers. Paper 1, meant for classes I to V, and Paper 2, meant for classes VI to VIII, were held on separate dates so that eligible working teachers could appear for the relevant paper. The certificate earned through this test remains valid for the whole life of the candidate.

TRB Result 2026 – Important Dates

All the important milestones of the Special TNTET 2026 are listed above. The two papers were held on consecutive days in early July 2026, and the provisional answer key was published later in the same month so that candidates could raise objections against any doubtful questions. After the objections were processed and the final evaluation was completed, the Teachers Recruitment Board declared the result for both papers on 12 October 2026. Candidates are advised to keep a copy of the result and the scorecard safely, as these documents are useful during future teacher recruitment processes.

Special TNTET 2026 Exam Statistics

The official statistics show the scale of the Special TNTET 2026 across Tamil Nadu. Paper 1 saw 61,386 candidates at 222 centres over 38 districts, while Paper 2 was larger with 1,67,743 candidates at 613 centres. The board arranged adequate centres so that both papers could be conducted smoothly.

TNTET Qualifying Marks 2026

To qualify in the Special TNTET 2026, a candidate must secure the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the board. For the General category, the requirement is 60 percent, which works out to 90 marks out of the total of 150. Candidates who reach this benchmark are considered to have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test and become eligible for the TNTET certificate. The certificate confirms that the candidate meets the minimum eligibility standard set for teachers in the state and can be used as proof of eligibility in later recruitment processes.

TRB TNTET Certificate 2026 – Result Details

The TNTET certificate is one of the most important documents for a teacher in Tamil Nadu. A candidate who qualifies in this test receives a certificate that does not expire and remains valid throughout the candidate's career. Because the maximum marks for each paper are 150, the result is presented against this total for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates should verify their details on the online result and, if required, download and preserve a copy for their records.

TRB TNTET Cut Off 2026

No separate category-wise cut-off has been published for the Special TNTET 2026. As a qualifying test, only the minimum qualifying marks of 60 percent (90 out of 150) apply.
