Eligibility
- Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognised Indian university; excellent communication skills in Assamese, English and Hindi.
- Experience: Retired officers not below the rank of Sub Inspector (SI) / J.C.O. of Assam Police Battalion / Railway Protection Force / Armed Forces / Paramilitary Forces, etc.; three (3) years’ experience in security service in Govt./Semi-Govt./PSU/autonomous organisation/large industrial units (experience in educational institutions preferable).
- Age: Maximum 62 years on the last date of submission; relaxation of 5 years for experienced candidates in Higher Educational Institutes of repute. If no suitable candidate is found within the mentioned age, higher-age candidates with good health may be considered.
Duration & Facilities
- Initially for a period of 2 years, extendable subject to a maximum age of 65 years; terminable by either side with one month’s prior notice.
- Mandatory housing accommodation in the campus; leave as per contractual rules; travel reimbursement for outstation official tours; medical facility at the University Health Centre (reimbursement of medical expenses not admissible).
Duties & Responsibilities
- To act as the 2nd-in-line under the control of the Security Officer; plan and ensure efficient security arrangements; station on campus and supervise security personnel.
- Assist authorities in maintaining law and order; liaison with Police and district authorities; attend fire/calamity incidents; scrutinise entry of outsiders.
