- Master's Degree in Physical Education and Sports or Physical Education or Sports Science with 55% marks.
- Record of representing University/College at inter-university/inter-collegiate competitions or State/National championship.
- Cleared NET conducted by UGC or CSIR (exemptions per UGC Regulations).
- Passed Physical Fitness Test.
Physical Fitness Test Norms
Men: 12 Minutes Run/Walk - Upto 40 years: 1500m, Upto 30 years: 1200m, Upto 45 years: 1800m, Upto 50 years: 800m
Women: 8 Minutes Run/Walk - Upto 30 years: 1000m, Upto 40 years: 800m, Upto 45 years: 600m, Upto 50 years: 400m
Written Test
- Paper I: 400 marks (100 MCQ), 2 hours duration
- Part I (120 marks): Concepts, Practices, Rules and Regulations Pertaining to Universities, Higher Educational Institutions and Regulatory Authorities (30 questions)
- Part II (280 marks): Domain Knowledge and Knowledge about practice of Sports and Sports Coaching (70 questions)
- Negative marking: 01 mark for each wrong answer
- Cutoff: 50% of average score of top 05% candidates (5% relaxation for SC/ST, 10% for PwBD)
