- Officers from Government/Semi-Government/PSUs or autonomous bodies (other than Major Port Authority).
- 1st class degree in Civil Engineering, or a PG degree in Mathematics/Statistics, or a 1st class graduate degree in Electronics/Instrumentation/Electrical/Computer Science & Engineering.
- 15 years of experience in applied research in river/coastal engineering, including river training/coastal engineering works for Civil Engineering candidates.
- Selection is by merit with an APAR benchmark not below “Very Good”.
