Eligibility
- Only Indian nationals are eligible.
- Candidates must possess all essential educational qualifications on or before the date of the interview.
- The requisite qualification must be recognised by the National Medical Commission; postgraduate degrees from departments or institutions without formal NMC recognition are not considered.
- Reservation applies as per Uttar Pradesh government rules and only candidates with Uttar Pradesh domicile are eligible for reservation benefits; reserved category candidates from other states are treated as unreserved.
Terms of Appointment
- Each appointment is for 89 days, or until a regular appointment through the entrance test, whichever is earlier.
- A candidate may receive short-term appointment for a maximum of three terms of 89 days, with a cooling period, subject to a satisfactory performance report and the recommendation of the head of department.
- Selected candidates receive the appointment letter within seven working days by e-mail and must join within seven days of receiving it, failing which the candidature is forfeited and the next waitlisted candidate is offered the post.
- The number of published posts may be increased or decreased.
- Candidates must appear in person with original documents and two sets of photocopies.
