Full Description
State Bank of India (SBI) invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for appointment as Probationary Officers (PO). The selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India and will be designated as Probationary Officers on a probation period of two years, after which they will be confirmed in Junior Management Grade Scale-I.

Qualification (as on 30 September 2026):
Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or equivalent qualification. Final year/semester students may also apply provisionally, subject to passing on or before 30.09.2026.
Selection Process — Three Phases:
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination (1 hour, 100 marks)

Phase-II: Main Examination (3 hours 30 min, 230 marks)

Final Merit: Main Exam (normalised to 75) + GE & Interview (normalised to 25) = 100 marks. Prelims marks NOT counted in final merit.
Salary & Benefits:
- Starting Basic Pay: Rs. 48,480 (4 advance increments) in JMGS-I scale
- Scale: 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920
- Perks: DA, HRA, CCA, PF, NPS, LFC, Medical, Lease Rental, etc.
- Approximate CTC at Mumbai: Rs. 21.97 Lakhs per annum
Other Conditions:
- Bond of Rs. 2,00,000 to serve for minimum 3 years
- Probation period: 2 years with continuous assessment
- Candidates must have valid Aadhaar card for verification
- CIBIL defaulters not eligible
- Posting anywhere in India; transfer policy as per Bank rules
