S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai invites applications from dynamic, detail-oriented individuals for the position of Teaching Assistant / Associate within the Operations, Supply Chain Management, and Quantitative Methods department.
This role bridges academic delivery and administrative coordination, offering an exceptional opportunity to work alongside elite management faculty, engage with premium research material, and gain foundational experience in a top-tier business school environment.
Course Curation: Assist faculty members in preparing course outlines, digital presentations, pre-reads, and standard teaching aids.
Material Development: Research cases, academic papers, and industry articles to support faculty in developing contemporary course material.
LMS Management: Upload course outlines, scheduled reading materials, and resources onto the Learning Management System (LMS).
Program Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between faculty and various program offices to ensure seamless adherence to submission timelines, class rollouts, and assignment dates.
Student Support: Manage day-to-day student queries regarding class notes, assignments, end-term structures, and committee initiatives.
Evaluation Framework: Create structural assessments under faculty guidance, coordinate with the institutional examination cell, and evaluate scores for quizzes, assignments, and exam scripts.
Revaluation Coordination: Assist faculty in resolving participant queries and handling formal revaluation requests for continuous evaluations and end-term answer sheets.
Event Support: Provide cross-functional support in planning and executing departmental events, webinars, and academic conferences.
Digital Scheduling: Manage class logistics by creating online session links and broadcasting calendar details to faculty and students.
Compliance Framework: Assist the department with data compilation and documentation for national and international accreditation standards.
Educational Background: Must hold an Engineering degree, or a Master’s degree preferably in Business Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Science, Computer Applications, or Electronics.
Experience Track: Prior experience is not mandatory; however, relevant experience in teaching support, analytics, or academic administration will be considered a distinct advantage.
Technical Literacy: High proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint), with strong capability to perform data analytics using Excel or statistical software packages.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent data compilation, structured report writing, and presentation capabilities.
Proactive people management skills with strong operational follow-up.
A positive attitude towards continuous learning, open-mindedness, and a keen interest in academic research.
Proven capacity to thrive under tight schedules and meet strict deadlines.
