Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: Between 18 and 25 years as on 01-01-2027 (born between 02-01-2002 and 01-01-2009, both inclusive). No age relaxation (upper or lower) is permissible.
- Educational Qualification:
- Level 1: 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent or NAC granted by NCVT.
- Level 3/2: Passed 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent; OR Matriculation plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (technical); OR Matriculation plus ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT (technical).
- Level 5/4: Graduation.
- Candidates expecting final examination results are not eligible. Educational qualification must be from a Govt. recognised institution.
- Candidates applying for Clerk cum Typist must acquire typing proficiency of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi within 4 years of appointment.
Sports Achievements & Norms
- Recognised sports achievements must be in the current and/or immediate previous two financial years (on or after 01-04-2024 up to the date of notification), and the sportsperson must be an active player.
- Level 5/4: 3rd position in World Cup / World Championships (Junior/Senior) / Asian Games / Commonwealth Games / Youth Olympics / Champions Trophy (Hockey) [Category B]; OR 3rd position in Commonwealth Championship / Asian Championship / Asia Cup / SAF Games / USIC (World Railways) / World University Games [Category C].
- Level 3/2: Represented the country in Category B events; OR 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships; OR 3rd position in National Games; OR 3rd position in All India Inter University Championships; OR 1st position in Federation Cup (Senior).
- Level 1: Represented the country in Category C events; OR 3rd position in Federation Cup (Senior); OR represented a State with at least 8th position in Senior National Championships; plus additional Youth/Junior National Championship norms.
- Discipline-specific norms apply for Athletics, Cricket (BCCI), Hockey and Volleyball.
Selection Process & Marks
- Selection is based on performance during trials, assessment of sports achievements and educational qualification.
- Trials carry 40 marks — candidates securing 25 or more are declared FIT; those below 25 are NOT FIT and are not assessed further.
- Total marks: Trials 40 + Sports Achievements 50 + Educational Qualification 10 = 100 marks.
- Minimum qualifying marks: Level 5/4 – 70; Level 3/2 – 65; Level 1 – 60.
- In case of a tie, the younger candidate is preferred. Merely being called for trials does not imply final selection.
