RBI Patna Medical Consultant (Contract, Fixed Hourly Remuneration) 2026
- Panel of 3 Part-Time Bank Medical Consultant (MC) posts — ST-1, UR-2 — purely on contract with fixed hourly remuneration for RBI dispensaries in Patna.
- Main Office Dispensary, South Gandhi Maidan, Patna-800001 — Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM–4:30 PM.
- Staff Quarters Dispensary, Bahadurpur, Patna-800004 — Monday–Wednesday 8:00–9:00 PM; Thursday–Saturday 7:30–8:30 AM.
- Staff Quarters Dispensary, Kurji More, Patna-800010 — Monday–Saturday, 5:00–7:00 PM.
- Staff Quarters Dispensary, Road No. 10A, Rajendra Nagar, Patna-800016 — Monday–Saturday, 5:30–7:30 PM.
- Senior Officers Quarters Dispensary, Bank Road, Patna-800001 — Monday–Saturday, 7:15–8:15 PM.
- Working days/hours are tentative and changeable at the Bank discretion.
Eligibility
- MBBS of an MCI-recognised university in the Allopathic system of medicine.
- PG degree in General Medicine holders may also apply.
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience practising Allopathic medicine in a hospital or clinic.
- Own dispensary or place of residence within a 3–5 km radius of the Bank dispensaries.
- SC/ST claimants must enclose the prescribed GoI-format caste certificate showing the exact notified caste spelling.
Pay & Terms
- Rs.1,400 per hour for actual duty hours performed (all-inclusive).
- Rs.1,000 per month treated as conveyance expenses.
- Rs.1,000 per month mobile charges reimbursement.
- Public-holiday duty compensated at Rs.1,400 per hour.
- No other perks — no pension, provident fund, gratuity or leave.
- Total engagement capped at 30 hours per week across all dispensaries.
- Contract for 3 years with no renewal on completion.
Selection & How to Apply
- Shortlisting for interview (Bank may raise the minimum criteria); mere eligibility does not guarantee a call.
- Interview, then medical examination at the applicant own cost plus document verification.
- Panel engagement as need arises, on acceptance of Terms (Annex-II) and Code of Conduct (Annex-III) plus a signed agreement.
- Apply in Annex-I format only, in a sealed cover superscribed “Application for the post of Medical Consultant on contract basis with fixed hourly remuneration”.
- Cover must reach the Regional Director, HRMD, Recruitment Section, RBI, Patna–800001 by 17:30 hrs on 05.10.2026.
