RBI Lucknow – Bank's Medical Consultant (BMC) Recruitment 2026

Reserve Bank of India, Lucknow invites applications to fill 01 (One) post (Unreserved) of Bank's Medical Consultant (BMC) on a purely contract basis with fixed hourly remuneration for the dispensary located at Aryavart Reserve Bank Staff Quarters, Sector-J, Aliganj, Lucknow-226024. Vacancy & Location

Eligibility Criteria

• MBBS degree in allopathic system of medicine from any university recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC); OR post-graduate degree in General Medicine from an NMC-recognized university.
• Minimum 2 years of experience practising medicine in any hospital or clinic as a Registered Medical Practitioner.
• The applicant's dispensary/residence should be within a radius of approximately 3–5 km from the Bank's dispensary at Aryavart Reserve Bank Staff Quarters, Aliganj, Lucknow.

Remuneration

• Rs. 1,000/- per hour for the entire contract period of 3 years.
• Out of total monthly remuneration, Rs. 1,000/- per month treated as conveyance expenses.
• No pension/PF/gratuity; no leave; no perquisites. Compensation @ Rs. 1,000/hour if required to attend on a public holiday.

Tenure & Terms

• Contract for a period of three years; no renewal on completion of the period.
• Engagement is temporary and contractual; no claim for regular employment.
• Duties as per Annex-I (medical advice, prescriptions, injections, emergency treatment, leave/health certificates, drug indents, monthly sanitary inspection, annual health report, medical bill sign-off, etc.).
• Code of conduct as per Annex-II; contract terminable on 3 months' notice (either side) or 10 days' notice for misconduct.
• Administrative control of the Regional Director, RBI Lucknow; disputes subject to Lucknow Courts jurisdiction.

Selection Procedure

Shortlisting and interview; shortlisted candidates undergo document verification and medical examination (cost borne by the applicant). The Bank reserves the right to raise minimum eligibility standards to limit the number of candidates for interview.
