The Subordinate Services Selection Board, Punjab (SSSB Punjab) has released Advertisement No. 03 of 2026 for recruitment of 681 Craft Instructor posts across 52 different trades under the Directorate of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Punjab (Industrial Training Wing).

Eligibility Criteria
Common Requirement (All 52 Trades)
10th pass with Science and Mathematics under the 10+2 system from a recognized School or Board.
Punjabi Language: Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject, or equivalent Punjabi language examination (as per Rule 17 of Punjab Civil Services Rules, 1994).
Pathway 1: Annexure-A — Degree/Diploma Trades (250 posts, 25 trades)
- Option A: Bachelor's Degree/B.Voc in relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Civil, Electronics, Chemical, Instrumentation, Textile, Agriculture Engineering, etc.) from AICTE/UGC-recognized institution + 1 year relevant experience (Factories Act-registered org or teaching)
- Option B: 3-year Diploma in relevant engineering discipline from AICTE-recognized institution + 2 years relevant experience
- Note: Degree/Diploma holders must acquire NCIC (National Craft Instructor Certificate) in relevant trade within 3 years of appointment, failing which services will be discontinued
Pathway 2: Annexure-B — NTC/NAC Trades (431 posts, 27 trades)
- NTC or NAC (National Trade Certificate / National Apprenticeship Certificate) in relevant trade from recognized institution
- NCIC (National Craft Instructor Certificate) in relevant trade
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in Factories Act-registered organization or teaching in govt/govt-recognized institution

Selection Process
- Written Examination: Objective Type (MCQ) with negative marking (0.25 marks deducted per wrong answer)
- Merit List: Based on written exam marks. Tie-breaking: older age → higher qualification % → higher matriculation marks
- Counseling & Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates called for verification
Departmental Examination: Appointed Craft Instructors must undergo practical training in the Industry as directed by the Government and pass the departmental practical examination within 3 years of appointment (3 chances given). Failing which, services may be dispensed with.
