POWERGRID is engaged under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for one-year apprenticeship training at Southern Region – II, Bangalore. The apprenticeship is open for candidates from the following states/UTs: Karnataka, Tamilnadu & Puducherry, Kerala.

Applications are invited for ITI (Electrician) (via NAPS) and Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Telecom) (via NATS) apprenticeship positions. The detailed region-wise advertisement can be downloaded as a PDF from the link below.

Eligibility

• Educational qualification as per the Apprentices Act 1961 — passed ITI (Electrician) / Degree / Diploma in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Telecom) within two years from the closing date of application.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Medically fit as per provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961.
• Not eligible: if awaiting results, already undergone or currently undergoing apprenticeship training anywhere, or having more than 1 year of job experience.

Application Process

Step 1: Register on the respective portal — NAPS (for ITI Electrician) or NATS (for Degree/Diploma Engineering). Complete/update your profile and upload all required documents.

Step 2: Apply online at POWERGRID Apprentice Portal. No application fee is required. No written exam or interview — selection is based on merit.
