Company Profile

NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) was incorporated in March 2019 under the Companies Act, 2013 as a wholly owned Government of India Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE), under administrative control of the Department of Space, to commercially exploit the R&D work of ISRO Centres and constituent units of DOS. NSIL is a Schedule 'A' CPSE in the Space sector, engaged in owning/building satellites, launch services, space-based services and technology transfer. Registered and corporate offices at Bengaluru, Karnataka; paid up capital Rs. 5607.60 crore (100% Government shareholding).

Job Description

Director (Technical & Strategy) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director. The Director assists the CMD in all technical and administrative matters, provides support for setting technical parameters, monitoring operations against set norms, and is responsible for day-to-day operations related to Business segments, Administration and Purchase, and execution of deeds, leases, contracts and other instruments on behalf of the Company (subject to CMD/Board approval).

Eligibility

Age: Minimum 45 years, as on the last date for receipt of applications. Age of superannuation is 60 years. Internal applicants must have at least 2 years of residual service; other applicants at least 3 years of residual service (as on the last date of receipt of applications).

Employment status and qualifications: As per the advertisement, applicants should be officers/executives in Government/Armed Forces/All India Services/Public Sector Banks/Financial Institutions/Autonomous Bodies, or CMDs/MDs/Functional Directors in CPSE (through the concerned Administrative Ministry), or below Board level in CPSE (through the concerned CPSE), etc., with relevant technical/administrative qualifications and experience as prescribed.
