Company Profile

NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) was incorporated under the Companies Act as a wholly owned Government of India Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) to commercially exploit the R&D work carried out by ISRO Centres and constituent units of DOS. NSIL enables Indian industry to scale up high technology manufacturing and production base, owning satellites, building satellites, providing launch services, space based services, satellite building and technology transfer. NSIL is a Schedule 'A' CPSE in the Space sector under the administrative control of the Department of Space. Its registered and corporate offices are at Bengaluru, Karnataka. Paid up capital of the Company is Rs. 5607.60 crore (100% Government shareholding).

Eligibility

Age: Minimum 45 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.

Employment Status: Applicant must, on the date of application as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity (not contractual/ad-hoc) in one of the following: (a) CPSE; (b) Central Govt. including Armed Forces and All India Services; (c) State PSE with annual turnover of Rs. 1000 crore or more; (d) Private Sector Company with annual turnover of Rs. 1000 crore or more. Preference to candidates from listed companies.

Qualification & Experience: Graduate with good academic record from a recognized University/Institute. Graduation in Engineering/Science or MBA/Two-year full-time PG Diploma in Business Administration/Management preferred. Adequate technical/operational/project management experience at a senior level in an organization of repute. High standards of integrity and impeccable reputation.

Pay Scale / Rank / Level (as on last date): Applicants from CPSEs should be working in the eligible scale of pay (e.g. Rs. 1,20,000-2,80,000 IDA per 01.01.2017, or Rs. 1,44,200-2,18,200 Level 14 CDA per 7th CPC, etc.) or higher. Central Govt/All India Services: at least Joint Secretary level. Armed Forces: at least Major General or equivalent rank. State PSE/Private Sector: at least a level immediately below the Board level.

Mode of Appointment

On deputation/contract basis for a period of five years. The post has been exempted from the 'Rule of Immediate Absorption' in the case of deputationists.
