Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) invites online applications for filling up vacancies of Stenographer (Grade-III) under the Government of Nagaland, as per Advertisement No. NPSC-3/STENO-2026 dated 19.08.2026.

Qualification
Graduate in any discipline with 6 (six) months Diploma in Computer Operation and 1 (one) year course in Shorthand possessing a speed of 80 words per minute.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)
Minimum - 21 years; Maximum - 32 years.
Age Relaxation: (a) 5 years for SC/ST candidates; (b) Age concession for serving Government employees equal to years of service up to a maximum of 5 years.
Reservation
- 100% of vacancies reserved for Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland (Any Naga Tribe, Kuki, Kachari, Garo, Mikir)
- Backward Tribe reservation per RCBT5/87(pt-II) notifications
- PwBD reservation per Government notifications

OTR (One Time Registration) is free. Examination fee of Rs. 300/-, convenience fee of Rs. 25/- and payment gateway charges as applicable.

Terms & Conditions
- Only candidates possessing requisite qualification from recognized university/institution at the time of applying are eligible
- Required shorthand speed (w.p.m.) must be mentioned on mark sheet or completion certificate
- Indigenous Inhabitant, SC/ST/BT certificates should be signed by District Authority not below the rank of Additional Deputy Commissioner
- False information leads to cancellation of candidature
