- Plant Operator - HSC or ISC Science with Physics, Chemistry and Maths at least 50 percent aggregate and English at SSC level
- Other trades - SSC at least 50 percent in Science and Maths individually with 2-year ITI in the trade and English at SSC; shorter ITI needs one year relevant experience
- Only Indian citizens with qualifications complete by the closing date; minimum height 160 cm and weight 45.5 kg relaxable on medical fitness
