National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has invited applications from eligible candidates for purely temporary project positions in a sponsored research project titled "Next Generation Data Carving and Preservation Techniques for Storage Drive Forensics". The project is funded by the Cyber Security Division of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, and is being carried out at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, NIT Raipur. The Principal Investigator is Dr. Nitesh K Bharadwaj, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

1. Research Associate-II (RA-II) - 01 post
2. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) - 01 post
3. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) - 02 posts
4. Project Associate-I (PA-I) - 01 post

Consolidated Monthly Fellowship (plus HRA as per Institute norms):
- Research Associate-II (RA-II): Rs. 61,000/- per month
- Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Rs. 42,000/- per month
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Rs. 37,000/- per month
- Project Associate-I (PA-I): Rs. 30,000/- per month

Research Area / Theme:
Digital Forensics, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Full-Stack Software Development and Python programming.

Essential Qualifications:
- Research Associate-II (RA-II): PhD in CSE / IT / ECE / Computer Application / Computer Science OR at least 3 years of research, teaching and development experience after M.E./M.Tech. in the above disciplines with at least one research paper published in an SCI/SCIE journal. GATE/NET qualified candidates are preferable.
- Senior Research Fellow (SRF): M.E./M.Tech./MCA or B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc. with qualified GATE/NET in CSE/IT/Cyber Security/Computer Science/Computer Application with minimum 60% aggregate (55% for reserved categories) or 6.5 CGPA (5.5 for reserved), and a minimum of 2 years experience as a JRF.
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF): M.E./M.Tech./MCA or B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc. with qualified GATE/NET in the above disciplines with minimum 60% aggregate (55% for reserved) or 6.5 CGPA (5.5 for reserved).
- Project Associate-I (PA-I): B.E./B.Tech. in CSE/IT/Cyber Security/Digital Forensics/AI/Computer Science/Computer Application or equivalent with minimum 60% aggregate (55% for reserved) or 6.5 CGPA (5.5 for reserved), or M.E./M.Tech. in CSE/Cyber Security/Digital Forensics or MCA.

Desirable Qualifications:
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Digital Forensics, Cyber Security, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Full-Stack Software Development and Python will be given preference.

Duration of the Positions:
The positions are purely temporary and are initially available up to 31st December 2026, with the possibility of extension up to 31st March 2027 from the date of joining, subject to satisfactory performance and continuation of the project.

- Selected candidates will not be permitted to claim any regular or part-time appointment in NIT Raipur or any other organisation during the tenure.
- Candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria may get an opportunity to enrol for a PhD programme at NIT Raipur.
