Full Description
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has invited applications for one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a sponsored research project entitled "CQD Based SWIR Imaging Sensor Development". The project is sponsored by ISRO / RES / RAC-S / IIT (BHU) (Project No. ISRO/RES/RAC-S/IITBHU/2025-26) and is being carried out at the Department of Physics, NIT Raipur. The Principal Investigator is Dr. Kanhaiya Shanker Ojha, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics.
Post and Fellowship:
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 01 post
- Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA (as per Institute norms)
- Duration: Two and a half years (initially for one year, extendable based on performance and project continuation)
Research Area / Project Title:
CQD Based SWIR Imaging Sensor Development (Colloidal Quantum Dot based Short-Wave Infrared Imaging Sensor Development).
Essential Qualifications:
Post Graduate degree in Physics / Electronics / Materials Science / Chemistry or a related subject, and the candidate must be qualified through:
(a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship), and GATE; OR
(b) A national-level selection process conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies/institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NITs, etc.
Upper Age Limit:
28 years (relaxation as per Government of India rules). All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
Desirable Qualification:
Knowledge of programming languages such as MATLAB / Mathematica is desirable.

- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- The Selection Committee has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates called for interview to a reasonable limit based on higher qualifications and experience than the minimum prescribed.

- Selected candidates may be given an opportunity to register for a PhD programme as per Institute norms.
