The Deputy Director will support the Director in the academic and administrative management of the institute.
The selected candidate will be responsible for contributing to institutional planning, teaching and research development, student support, industry collaboration, and the overall advancement of the institute.
The appointed candidate may be expected to:
Assist the Director in academic and administrative matters
Support teaching, research, and institutional development
Strengthen industry–institute and international collaborations
Contribute to strategic planning and policy implementation
Support student welfare and academic quality
Coordinate with faculty members, departments, and administrative units
Perform responsibilities assigned under the NIT Act and Statutes
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
Minimum five years of experience as Professor
Maximum age of 60 years as on the date of application
At least two years of experience as Head of Department or Dean
Strong contribution to academics, administration, and outreach activities
Outstanding academic record with expertise in the relevant discipline
Experience in teaching, research supervision, and institutional leadership
The initial appointment will be for three years and may be extended by up to two additional terms of one year each, subject to approval and applicable rules.
