Applications are invited for the post of Project Associate-I [one position] under the Collaborative R&D project (with IIT Kanpur as Lead Institute) sponsored by Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF): “Grid Readiness for Electrical Vehicle (EV): Enablers and Technological developments (GREET)”, at the Department of Electrical Engineering, NIT Durgapur.

Project summary: Assess the impact of large-scale EV charging infrastructure on distribution grids (power quality, operation, protection); develop optimal planning models for EV charging & battery swapping stations; algorithms for optimal EV charging/discharging scheduling for ancillary services; advanced power converter control schemes with power factor control; enhance battery life; outcomes support coordinated planning, grid operations and renewable integration.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Essential: Four-year bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Computer Science Engineering or Technology (recognized University); OR M.E./M.Tech in EE/EEE/CSE.
- Desirable: expertise in power electronic based circuit simulation & fabrication, microcontroller based applications.
