National Institute of Technology Delhi Job Details & Overview
National Institute of Technology Delhi (NIT Delhi) – Advertisement (Dated 06/11/2026) for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (01 post), purely on contract basis, under DST funded project: “Design and Development of Portable VIS-NIR Spectrometer for Detection of Pesticide Content in Fruits and Vegetables Products”. Project duration: ~1.5 years.
Principal Investigator: Dr. Gyanendra Sheoran (Associate Professor, Physics, Dept. of Applied Sciences, NIT Delhi; Mob. 7042131946).
Essential Qualification (JRF): Post graduation in Sciences (Physics/instrumentation/any relevant field) / Graduation or post-graduation in Engineering/Technology; qualified with valid GATE/NET/National level examination/Own fellowship. Desirable: experience in optics/prototyping of instruments, machine learning, 3D imaging, spectral imaging/proficiency in MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python.
Age: JRF – 32 years. Relaxation in qualification and age for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PwD as per Govt. of India rules. Salary/Emoluments: Rs. 37,000/- + 27% HRA.
Selection: Shortlisted candidates will be informed for interview through email. No TA/DA for attending interview.
